When it comes to our views, people always want to know where we’ve drawn our line in the sand. And honestly, we want to move way beyond that. We want to be known by what we are FOR, rather than what we’re against. We’re for people and Jesus. We’re for sharing God’s love with others and being not only a voice of change, but hands of service to our neighbors and our world.

Community: We believe in building community through authentic friendships and supporting the cities in which we live.
We demonstrate COMMUNITY via group activities and regular outreach programs including our Saturday of Service, regular employment workshops, and an annual Vacation Bible School program for kids in the community.
Love: Love is one of those words that gets tossed around like the Wii remote. We hear it all the time, but what does love look like?

Life: That is, life to the full. Let’s face it: We all get pulled in myriad directions, sometimes spreading ourselves as thin as Cling Wrap. This is not the life God intended. He wants us to live lives full of meaning and purpose, joy and laughter.
At Smoky Hill Vineyard, LIFE means having Sunday services that are practical—with teachings we can apply to our lives each week. Life means regular worship services, counseling and recovery programs (for those who are stuck) and opportunities to receive prayer throughout the week.
Environment: We live in Colorado, so of course we’re for the environment. We believe in doing all we can to preserve our natural resources and minimize our collective footprint.
We support the ENVIRONMENT through regular recycling and a youth outreach that cleans neighborhood parks. In addition, the staff turns off the heat every Tuesday, in order to save fossil fuels. (Well, not really…but we do turn off the heat in the main building when it is not in use).
Training: We all want to grow—in knowledge, skills, and depth of character. And that doesn’t generally happen unless you are purposeful about it. Busyness does not always mean time well spent.

Mission: That could almost sound cliché, but we will never stop helping those in need. Jesus told us to do it and we take that charge very seriously. If people don’t see us helping, how do they see Jesus in us?

And yes, we’re for Fun! Let’s face it: Life can be tough for all of us…so we like to make things fun. (Plus, it is really hard to get people to stick around for the long-haul if church feels restrictive and punitive. Blah).
