It's the generosity of everyday people in our community that fuels the incredible life change that we experience around here.
We’re not subsidized by the government or some mystery organization. Our support comes from the normal tithes (10 percent of earnings) and offerings of average folks who love contributing to the kinds of things they see God doing here and around the world through SHV.
Thank you for using the Smoky Hill Vineyard online giving option to join us in our mission. As many people enter into a new-found relationship with Christ, please know that it couldn't happen without your giving. We are truly grateful for your donation and hope the convenience and simplicity of online giving will be helpful to you.

Q: What is a tithe? Tithe literally means 10% and is usually the first 10% of your paycheck or income. For example, if you make $600 per month, you would “tithe” $60, or 10% to the local church.
Q: What is an offering? Offerings are what you give over and above your tithe. For example, if you give money to help buy food for the NET or help support a missionary, this would be an offering.
Q: Is tithing really biblical? The Bible calls followers of Jesus to tithe (Leviticus 27:30; Malachi 3:10; Numbers 18:26-29). Giving God our first and our best through the tithe is a way to honor Him—a way to give thanks for all He’s given us.
Q: How can I give to the church when I can barely pay for gas? Good question. Unfortunately, this is one you’ll have to figure out on your own. Where might you be able to cut back? How can you tweak your expenditures to better honor God? As followers of Jesus, we are called to be good stewards of all our resources and honor God first. Sometimes that means making sacrifices in order to put God first. But one thing is for sure: when we honor God with all we are and own, things like gas prices don’t seem to matter as much. We know, He’s taking care of us and will provide for all we need.
Q: What do tithes and offerings pay for, exactly? The tithe is God’s provision for the local church. As such, tithes and offerings provide for the building, electricity, sound, the pastor and staff salaries, supports all the ministries, missionaries, etc.
Q: Do you tithe on gross or net income? In response to this question, (and we get it A LOT), we often ask: “Do you want to be blessed on the gross or the net?”
Q: How can I tithe? You can bring your tithe to church on Sunday and put it in the offering bag during service; send a check to the church office: Smoky Hill Vineyard, 20050 East Smoky Hill Road, Centennial, CO 80015 (attn: Bookkeeper); tithe online, or use the Giving Kiosk in the Café.
Q: Are tithes tax-deductible? Yes. As long as any goods or services are not received in exchange for your money (i.e. a registration fee for the women’s conference is not a tithe nor tax-deductible). You will receive an annual statement for tithes and offerings that exceed $250.
Q: How do I know my donations are being used appropriately? When you give to SHV, every dime is accounted for. All tithes are used to support ministry and Kingdom purposes—either here at SHV or through ministries/missionaries we support. In addition, an independent accounting firm audits our finances on a regular basis. Click here for detailed information on where the money goes.
