PRAYER

It is so easy to get all hyped-up about prayer, worrying: What should I say? Will I have to pray out loud? What if I sound like a weirdo and don’t say the right thing? But really, praying is just a conversation with God. It doesn’t have to be so tough.

Prayer is, however, the key to a relationship with God and it is our intention to pray with an understanding of God’s will. We believe He changes circumstances and changes us through our prayers—and so, to say the least, it is time well spent.

“The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective”. James 5:16.

SHV is committed to a vibrant, effective prayer life. Prayer is sweet to God because it is the work of His Spirit and it honors His Son.
